Dr. Panos Zanos, BSc, Ph.D.

Dr. Panos Zanos serves as the founding President of the Cyprus Neuroscience Society (C.N.S.), bringing exceptional leadership and vision to the organization. As an Assistant Professor of Neuropsychopharmacology at the University of Cyprus and Principal Investigator of his own laboratory, Dr. Zanos exemplifies the research excellence that C.N.S. seeks to promote. His groundbreaking work investigating novel pharmacotherapies for psychiatric disorders, particularly his pioneering research on ketamine metabolites for treatment-resistant depression and substance use disorders, has earned international recognition and numerous prestigious awards. Dr. Zanos’s extensive publication record, successful grant acquisition history, and multiple patents demonstrate the innovative approach to neuroscience research that C.N.S. aims to foster.
